There are many ways to become more involved with Fusion.

Come to meetings. The easiest way to be involved with Fusion is just to come to meetings. The group would not exist without its members! Also, tell your friends about Fusion and ask them to come to meetings as well. The more, the merrier!

Join the listserv. Getting on the Fusion listserv is the easiest way to stay up to date about Fusion meeting topics and other events in the GLBT community at OSU and in Columbus. You can join the Fusion listserv by clicking here (you do not need a Yahoo! account to add your e-mail).

Talk to an officer. Try to speak with one of the officers before or after a Fusion meeting or at their office hours. Let them know you are interested in becoming more involved with the group, and different ways you are interested in helping out (i.e. making flyers, passing out flyers, chalking, suggesting a meeting topic, coordinating a meeting, becoming a future officer, joining a committee, et cetera). You can also contact the officers by e-mail: FusionOSU@yahoo.com.

Volunteer to help out. Occasionally Fusion or other GLBT groups on campus will hold an event that the officers can't handle alone, or will need help chalking, flyering, or holding a fund raiser, so they will need some volunteers. Announcements for volunteers will be sent out over the listserv or brought up at meetings, so just be sure to speak up or sign up when the call goes out.

Come to planning meetings. Planning meetings are held at least once a quarter so that the Fusion officers can decide on the meeting topics for the next quarter, or may be held more frequently so that the officers can update each other on group activities and discuss previous and future meetings. These executive council meetings are open to all Fusion members, so if you would like to participate in the creative process, come to a council meeting!

Become an officer. Elections are usually held at the end of Spring Quarter, but there's no reason why you can't approach the officers with your interest before then. By going to executive council meetings and talking to an officer in the position you desire, you'll be able to find out what goes into being an officer and will have a leg up on the competition once elections roll around.
